Jordan Roberts Photography
Columbia Hills, Eastern Washington
I feel bad because I ran into Marc Adamus a couple days before this shot. He was leading a workshop from the west side and the conditions really fizzled out. However, his predictions for this day were spot on. As we were talking about workshops, he was telling me the hardest part of photography for people to understand is not taking the photo, but rather applying yourself to the image. Which, is very true. This shot however is not too far off from the original. Perhaps I should post the original for a side-by-side comparison.
This was some of the best lighting I've had in a very long time. Maybe not the best sunset, but lighting. I enjoy watching all the photographers that visit this location every night while in full bloom. It was really windy in this shot as well so I had to blend as best I could the lupin I caught in between gusts. Hope you enjoy!
